SignStix Real Time Diagnostics using Innovative M2M Communications

Managing an entire digital signage estate doesn’t have to be backbreaking – with intelligent M2M (machine-to-machine) communications and real time diagnostics tools, your signage estate can be managed from one central location, where you can monitor running issues, track the health of the system and fix errors in real-time.

With SignStix’s real time diagnostic tools, you can get a snapshot of the signage that’s playing, so you know exactly what’s going on – from which sites are active, to which zones are playing what. Using M2M communications, the system reports back every minute, giving you complete clarity of your entire signage estate.

Innovation in M2M communications

As well as retrieving a real time visual of the signage that’s playing, you can also see when screens were last updated, including which ones are running and the time that the system last reported back to the server.

The handy Health Check feature in SignStix Director also gives you a health graph, presenting any runtime errors that have occurred over the past 24 hours. This innovation in M2M communications gives SignStix users the ability to manage multiple signage sites from one central location, without having to worry about potential downtime or running issues.

“Getting your head around the applications of M2M solutions can be difficult for those not currently in that segment but once the depth of the opportunity is realised there is almost no vertical market untouched by the technology.” David Dungay, Assistant Editor, Comms Business

“Now using independent, secure M2M cellular routing technologies, 3rd-party service partners of retailers are able to provide ‘extra’ complementary services such as in-store ATMs, Lottery Terminals, Asset/People Monitoring and Digital Signage solutions like Signstix. Service partners can now provide in-store M2M solutions that run alongside the retailers’ enterprise networks rather than across them, where often strict & prohibitive restrictions are imposed.” Lewis Harvey, Adey Electronics
