ISE 2018: SignStix® Joins Philips PDS to Showcase Latest Embedded Displays, Director v3 and More

SignStix® has returned from a successful second year exhibiting at Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) in Amsterdam, which took place at the beginning of the month.

Joining their specialist hardware partner Philips on Stand 10-K170, SignStix® participated in the annual event which has become the biggest AV integrations show of its kind, doubling in size since it first began in 2012.

Since then, the last six years have seen ISE grow from a moderate 41,000 attendees to 2018's record-breaking 80,000 visitors, smashing 2017's attendance figures by nearly 10%.

Demand for the event has increase so greatly that ISE's operators had to work closely with the event's hosts (RAI Amsterdam) to add more space in the form of makeshift halls adjacent to the building, and a fourth day was added to the event in a bid to give attendees more time to see everything on display from the 1,200 exhibitors.

Speaking to AV Technology Europe on the show's final day, ISE Managing Director Mike Blackman commented:

"The show has been absolutely fantastic. We've had tremendous growth, growing around 10% over the last year. We've had a brand new hall, and 291 brand new exhibitors showing. That really is tremendous growth and says so much about the industry and the show."

Joining Philips Professional Display Solutions as a 'Meaningful Solutions partner, SignStix® and Philips presented a range of new display models and technologies. Alongside the very latest smart signage solutions, which included an impressive 98" fully embedded panel, SignStix® also delivered exclusive previews of their hotly anticipated v3.0 platform release which will be officially launched next month, and a number of innovative experiences suitable for a range of market verticals such as Lift 'n' Learn, complete with with dynamic lighting triggers.

SignStix joined Philips Professional Display Solutions as their 'Meaningful Solutions' partner

Speaking ahead of the event, Philips Professional Display Solutions' General Manager for EMEA and NA, Chris Colpaert, said: "We want to offer our customers the most complete range of displays and solutions. Visitors to our booth at ISE will be shown how to integrate hardware and software in a unique way - both in our system solutions and together with our software partners in special solutions for vertical markets.

'The business strategy of Philips PDS was and is not only to sell displays, but to offers it customers innovative technology as part of a complete and all-round flexible solution."

Nick Fearnley, SignStix® Founder, commented: "We were delighted to join Philips at this year's ISE event, which was bigger and better than ever.

'It was a great opportunity for us to demonstrate how our partnership with Philips has enabled SignStix® to develop a full-service digital engagement solution that delivers real value to our continually growing client base.

'The innovations that we displayed, such as Lift 'n' Learn with dynamic lighting triggers, were all built and managed directly within the SignStix® platform using our very own SignStix® API. Our API allows for the easy integration of third-party systems, including music and lighting systems and Point-of-Sale inventories."

Fearnley continued: "The combination of the SignStix® API and Philips' embedded panels allows retail organisations to create and deliver truly smart, intelligent and reactive digital campaigns - as well as the capability to manage all of their business logic entirely within the panel itself.

'This is a real game-charger, not only for the retail industry but for a host of other sectors, too."

Director v3

As part of 2018's ISE offering, SignStix® was also demonstrating exclusive previews of Director v3.0, the radically updated version of Director, SignStix's® web-based tool for content management.

Due for official release on the 23rd March, ISE visitors were able to experience a host of Director v3.0's brand new features ahead of the launch, such as the ability to define custom deployment structures, meta-tagging facilities and a fresher, mobile-first, fully-responsive design.

The newest version of Director will provide users with a much slicker, experience, allowing users to manage and deliver digital content with ease thanks to an improved workflow and a heavy focus on the overall user experience and accessibility.
